Nielsen RingScan, a service of The Nielsen Company, has increased its mobile market ringtone data tracking and coverage with the addition of AT&T Mobility's weekly ringtone sales data. Through the expansion, Nielsen RingScan data will now represent ringtone sales of every major US mobile carrier. AT&T, in addition to providing sales data, will also provide weekly ringback sales results for inclusion in Nielsen RingScan's newest report, ringback tracking, scheduled to debut later this year.

As previously reported, an official remix for "Touch My Body" by DJ David Morales has been scrapped because Mariah was unable to record new vocals for it due to scheduling problems. Morales expressed his disappointment because he loved the idea for the remix and it had received great response.

"Touch My Body" was first premiered on American radio on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. In about 6 hours, the song was played approximately 500 times in different radio stations across the US. It also had the biggest first week airplay since Mariah's "I'll Be There" in 1992. The song quickly exploded in all four major radio formats (Top 40 Mainstream, Rhythmic/Crossover, Urban, Adult R&B) and after only five weeks, it entered the top 10 in each format and reached #4 on the Hot 100 Airplay.

WHY: As we eagerly anticipate Mariah's mentor appearance on American Idol in the coming weeks, the octave scaling singer drops a wicked redo of her Top 20 and rising new single. "Touch My Body" co-writer the Dream makes a cameo this time, playfully throwing Mariah's already-infamous YouTube sex tape line right back at her: "If there's a camera up in here, load that right on up to YouTube ... I'm just playin'." The beat is completely upended, with a sinister synths replacing the original's fluffy snap vibe. The remix is sexier, more dynamic and - barring Rick Ross's annoyingly boilerplate intro verse - better than its counterpart, especially during the Timbaland-style stutter-step tease of an outro. As many pop vets struggle to make their singles hit nowadays, Mariah is throwing down remixes others would kill for. It's almost unfair.

'30 Rock' funnyman recalls an awkward moment from the video set: 'I threw a Frisbee in Mariah Carey's face!'

Most leading men carry a chin harder than granite and looks that could make any woman swoon. And Mariah Carey certainly brings her share of leading-lady beauty to the screen.

"She looks amazing," Carey's "Touch My Body" co-star Jack McBrayer raved to MTV News recently. "Apparently she's just been working with this trainer for a while. I mean, she looks like a living Barbie doll. A beautiful, caramel-colored Barbie."

So if Carey is Barbie, would that make McBrayer - who plays an overeager NBC page named Kenneth on Tina Fey's hit TV show "30 Rock" - her Ken?

"Maybe in an alternate universe," he quipped. "But Ken all the same."

The unlikely onscreen pairing of Carey and McBrayer in "Touch My Body" has raised eyebrows and busted guts. According to McBrayer, Carey is a huge fan of "30 Rock" and of comedy in general. But when he got the call requesting him for the video, he wondered whether it was a gag.

"I got a phone call on a Thursday night saying, 'Would you be available to get on a plane tomorrow morning and come be in Mariah Carey's video?' " McBrayer recalled. "I'm always worried now that somebody is pranking me, so at first I was very leery. But when I heard it was legit, and then later on we got a phone call from Brett Ratner, who directed it. I was like, 'This is either a very elaborate prank, or this is the real deal.'"

Obviously, it turned out to be the real deal.

In the fish-out-of water plot, McBrayer's character is a computer tech visiting Carey's home for a service visit. When the singer answers the door in a revealing outfit, McBrayer's character starts daydreaming about being with the superstar.

In one of the more memorable - and odd - scenes, he and Carey walk side by side with, of all things, a unicorn trailing behind them. "I have no idea [what that scene was about]," McBrayer said. "I guess part of this geek's fantasy would involve dressing up like medieval people walking a unicorn. Which, I mean, duh, that makes no sense."

Another scene, which could have been just as memorable, unfortunately didn't make the final cut, he said. "We're out in the backyard playing ultimate Frisbee and stuff, and we're given very loose directions: 'Play around!' 'Go fetch!'" McBrayer remembered. "So I go to throw the Frisbee to Mariah Carey, and she's lip-syncing and she's spinning around. And she spins around right around the time it leaves my hands. So by the time she spins back around - bonk, right in her face. I threw a Frisbee in Mariah Carey's face!"

For McBrayer, who was just as overwhelmed being around the real-life Carey as his character was, that was when his fantasy ended.

"Her bodyguard came over and set me straight," he said, joking. "In fact, if you notice, from there on out for most of the video, we're just kind of handing the Frisbee back and forth to each other."

And while the rendition doesn't leave me quite as rapturous as one YouTube commenter ("love it am crying!" is the listener's four-word review), I have to admit I've had it on repeat loop all morning long in my office. So this means either a) I'm officially ancient and months away from filling my iPod with elevator music; or b) Jason is right in his observation that Mariah is underrated for her ability to write a terrific, complex melody. I feel so close to that song, most of my really close friends - that's their favorite song, 'cause it's fun and it's cute, and it's not like, taking itself too seriously, you know what I mean? It's just like, you know, the 'touch my body' part is the sexy part and it is what it is but I love the humor in the song.

About the Video:
When Brett Ratner said that he was gonna do this video with me, there was a writers' strike and he had some time and he was really feeling the record, the idea of Jack McBrayer came up and I was like "that's amazing 'cause he is hilarious", so the concept of the video is basically like he comes over as "CompuNerd" to help me fix my computer and then he goes into fantasy land and I'm right there with him. I love adding the element of humor because why take this so seriously? They're videos!

Mariah Carey, Touch My Body (+24.5%): Advances 13-8.
Ken Barnes, USA Today: "Somehow, my negative opinion about this one hasn't stopped it from zooming into the top 10 in a remarkable three weeks. (That was sarcasm, by the way -- the "somehow" part, anyway.) I'd peg it for a jump to No. 4 next week, since it's roaring along and the four songs ahead of it are all dropping. Then sky's the limit, unless Usher proves to be even more unstoppable.

There is no doubt that Usher's Love in This Club will hit the top 10 next week; the question is where. It jumped 21-12 in its third week, with a stunning 36% audience gain, and has a shot at jumping straight into the top 5. Clearly Mariah's main rival for a future No. 1 berth."

Carey's 'Touch' Leads Top 10 Assault
Two tracks enter the top 10 led by Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body." Carey's latest climbs 13-8 in its third week for the fastest journey to the upper quarter by any song since "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce, which also took three frames in November 2006. "Touch" is also second-most increased with an improvement of 764 plays.

Top 40
Mariah Carey vaults 23*-17* with "Touch My Body" - and is this week's largest spincreaser at +1167.

Rhythmic
Chris Brown remains in control at Rhythmic again this week. Who will grab the next #1? At the current pace, it doesn't appear that Webbie has enough momentum as "Independent" holds at 3* with a 367 spincrease - but remains 700 spins back of Brown. Mariah Carey could well be the next challenger as "Touch My Body" vaults 13*-8* in just her third week on the chart and grows nearly 1000 spins.

Urban
Mariah Carey moves up nearly 500 spins as "Touch My Body" climbs 19*-15*.

Urban A/C
In just two weeks, Mariah Carey is up to 17* with "Touch My Body."

Bulgaria: Climbs 4 spots to #25 on The Voice Of Hip Hop And RnB's The Voice Top 30.

Canada: The song is at #24 (was #30 last week) on Toronto's Chum FM's Top 30 chart and drops a spot to #5 on The Beat 94.5 in Vancouver.

Dominican Republic: Milenium FM 103.3 FM has the song but is not being played much. Dominican fans, request the song by calling 809-539-4440.

Italy: With 3 days of airplay in 10 national radio stations only, "Touch My Body" debuted at #74 of the Music Control Chart which is the official chart based on airplay only in Italy.

Japan: Takes a huge 28-point jump to #25 on the Tokio Hot 100 chart.

Malaysia: Debuts at #16 on Hitz' Top 30 this week. Continue voting. Be sure to also vote for the song in other countdowns: Hitz FM's Urban 10, Mix's Mixed Up and Fly's Freaky Fly 30.

Serbia/Croatia: Jumps from #11 to #7 in this week's Top 50 International playlist.

South Africa: The song is sitting at #10 on the Top 40 national chart at Metro FM, the country's largest urban station. It is up five spots from last week's #15 with only three weeks on the charts. The station predicts she will be in pole position in two weeks. On 5FM, the song has been added onto its playlist and been getting regular spins everyday. Also been added to the new music section and listeners can rate here. And on Goodhope FM, it debuts at #25 on the station's Top 30 countdown.

Sweden: "Touch My Body" is at #17 on the most played songs of the week at the station "The Voice of Hip-Hop and R'n'B."

Switzerland: The song is now in heavy rotation on the Swiss radio station Radio R3iii.

Thailand: Official impact on Thai radio is March 7 according to this announcement from Virgin Radio.

United Arab Emirates: Keep requesting for the song on Radio 4 by phone at 600-1663, on Virgin Radio by SMS to 4008, and Dubai 92.0 by calling 600-1492.
