• In his interview Sunday with
60 Minutes, Bon Jovi mentioned Mariah when showing correspondent Steve Kroft his recording studio (see photo on right) at his New Jersey estate: "We don't rent it out but I've let people use it. When Mariah Carey went into hiding right around
Glitter, this is where she was in hiding. We gave her the keys and said 'I don't even want to see you. Here, come, go as you please.' This is where she did that ill-fated record."
• The
Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf (San Francisco, CA) celebrated its 45th anniversary with a luncheon the other day, and three new figures were named to be added to the collection next year: Mother Teresa, Prince William and Mariah Carey.

• Famed tattoo artist Zulu, in an interview with
SFGate, spoke about the day Mariah and Nick had their tattoos:
| "Mariah was really cool. She didn't really want to talk about what was happening because I think she was calling before they got married. They said, this is very confidential, we don't want this to get out. Tattooing so many celebrities, you have to be discreet. They let me know what they wanted and I drew it up ahead of time and they approved some drawings and when the day came, we went out to their beautiful house in Beverly Hills. We sat and talked about refining the drawings and they gave me some lunch. Mariah was really mellow, real confident, not overbearing in the least, she was polite but she knew what she wanted. She was assertive, which was cool. She decided she wanted a butterfly because she's all about butterflies. It was her very first tattoo. She sat for it and didn't flinch. She's a tough cookie. She found me on the web, and probably through her celebrity circle. It was Nick Cannon's first tattoo as well. He got some script on his back. It was a really good experience for everyone, especially for the first tattoo, because that tends to make people a little bit nervous. They did well, like people who had a million tattoos." |

International chart. Otvoreni is the largest radio station in Croatia.

Tokio Hot 100, "Touch My Body" was down 2 spots to #4, "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" a new entry at #55, and "Bye Bye" up 1 to #85.

Romania: On May 27th, the radio station "Europa FM" (104.4 Mhz) will be having a special program called "Mariah Carey Day" on which they will play her songs all day, and feature a special interview.

Turkey: Rolling Stone Turkey has reviewed
E=MC² and gave it 3 out of 5 stars in its May 2008 issue. Following is the summary of the review:
| "It has been 18 years from her debut and she has not lost any of her fans or experienced a decline in her career. She has fed her ever young audience with the same energy as before. It's obvious that young stars have a lot to learn from Mariah Carey who we can now call as their sister of pop and R&B. However in her 10th studio album we see that Mariah has learned a lot from them too. Instead of backing down as she gets older, she sings as relaxed, as festive and even as free as she has never done. Calling her album after the relativity theory enriched by the inclusion of gospel and reggae influences, it's evident that Mariah is pushing her limits. You may like her music or not, but it should be accepted that new Mariah songs like "O.O.C.", "Touch My body" and "I'm That Chick" are truly great records for the listeners of the genre. Carey has fulfilled her mission to the fullest extent as if trying to prove that she has a lot to do in the business." |
