The theme of the concert is Moulin Rouge. It uses some cinematic elements of the movie, but in a very intimate kind of way, not bombastic or overdone at all.
The concert starts out with some footage resembling the opening sequence of Moulin Rouge, only instead of "Nature Boy," the band plays a very melancholy instrumental of "Looking In".
There are also all this boudoir-like chairs on stage and the dancers all come out dressed like postmodern Moulin Rouge dancers, a theme that continues throughout the concert.
Mariah wore everything from rhinestones to hip-hop to a Chinese dress cut like a miniskirt, it was quite festive and sexy and colorful, just like the musical.
Fans will really like the setup because it's not loud, it's not overwhelming, it's just Mariah having a little visual fun with the set and the music broken down into very acoustic arrangements. The Korean date used a huge venue so the intimacy will be lost on the people in the back (I had pretty good seats) but I think the setup will really be great on her American dates with the smaller
theaters.
She arrived an hour and a quarter late, and the concert is only one and a half hour long, which is cool, I think she meant it to be a small "after dinner" kind of concert, but the audience were a bit mad about that I think, at the end, that she got us to this big arena and the concert was so short.
She opened the show with "Heartbreaker Remix / Heartbreaker".
I'd say 60% of the tracklist is from Charmbracelet: "Bringing On the Heartbreak" (AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME in concert, you guys will DIE), "You Got Me" (she sings this with Sadie, That awesome "Automatic Princess" girl), "My Saving Grace", "Through the Rain" (which she dedicated to the memory of Connor McNally) and surprisingly "Subtle Invitation".
In "Subtle Invitation" there's a part where Mariah just breaks out her voice and it is INCREDIBLE, I never realized what a great song this was.
Of her older songs she did "Dreamlover", "I'll Be There" (with Trey Lorenz), "Fantasy" (ODB remix, this was the only song she lipsynched in, she was dancing), "Honey", "Make It Happen", and her two encores "Vision of Love" and "Hero". She also sang a little bit of "I Know What You Want" and "Butterfly".
Two new MonarC acts opened for her, the other act was OK but that little second-grader girl (Sadie) was AMAZING. She was SO CUTE, she sang a song called "Automatic Princess".

I've been a fanatic since i was deeply charmed with Mariah in #1's poster.
Five years later, the Charmbracelet tour was kicked off from
Seoul on 21st of June, 2003.
I got to the 1988 Olympic park at 6 o'clock. Sitting on the royal seat,
I had to hear the greatest hits songs of Stivie Wonder, "keep on running",
"do i do", "isn't she lovely", and "that girl" for an hour.
Fortunately, 13000 seats all were sold out. and the place was full of
the audience. At 7:00 pm, a new korean act like Britney showed a sexual
performance. Next Bel & Nene, the first work of MonarC, opened the Seoul
tour. Both the 2 girls were so young. Bel was Isabel Gome of the
Glitter and Nene was a black and took part in rapping. They sang 2 unknown
songs. One was a sampled song, and the other was not. I thought
Damizza might have written the tracks. Nene cried out, "Put Ur Hands Up
In The Air!!" to the audience on and on. How terrific performance~!
They introduced a baby girl, Sadie and she had a short cute dance time.
Then, We had to wait for a long time listening to the boring songs of
Stevie again. Because there was not inside but outside, Mariah had to
perform after sunset.
At 8:17 pm, I could hear "Looking in" live instrumental then added Hip-Hop
beats, and Finally Mariah appeared! Her hair looked like Mariah
from Dun stop music video in a little short light pink coloured dress.
She was so amazing! She performed HB remix/HB original like in STTR.
Nene placed the part of Da brat and Missy.
Then she sang Dreamlover and did better than the performance at Today Show.
And she yelled,"What's up Korea!"and all the people were enthusiazed. She
said us calmly, "To tell you the truth, My younger
friend, Conor Mcnally was dead two days ago. I need you to be silent for a
moment for him." and unexpectedly she sang Through the rain early. She
didn't sound really good, however, all the audience were moved.
Then, Sadie appeared again, and sang a cute song called automatic princess.
and the song was changed into You Got Me. Sitting on the sofa
with Sadie, Mariah hit the note. What an incredible highnote!!
the rap part of jayz was edited. Instead, Sadie's new rap was recorded.
The deep red light of the stage reminded me of the Velvet rope tour of
Janet.
Anyway, I could see the funny perody looked just like the cover of EMINEM
SHOW on the large screen. It said "MARIONETTE SHOW" instead of
"EMINEM SHOW". Of course, she sang Clown. Laughing at somebody,"P-O-W"
was very interesting!
For the performance of IKWYW, Mariah changed her sophisticated dress
into a black sexy hiphop look. The performance relied on Music Video.
Mariah sang her part and Busta's part a little bit.
Soon, a grand piano attached butterflies was moved on the stage. and
Mariah in a white long dress appeared. She was so beautiful.
She performed Subtle Invitation laying on the piano. She was a Jazzholic!!
I think this live was her best ever. Her note was unbelievable, too.
Bringing on the heartbreak and My Saving Grace sounded good as usual.
Next she called Big Nasty to duet I'll Be There. She showed off her long
friendship with Trey Lorenz. She sounded not good but the audience sang it
together. and we all were connected with Mariah.
Trey sang Friend of Mine with 3 back up singers. However, it was weird
that there wasn't Magie. They sounded very harmonious anyway.
Fantasy was all lipsynched, so it was boring for me to see the performance.
And i hope that she's not gonna sing Make it Happen anymore.
Honey live was my secont favorite performance. She looked like
Vivian Mary Hartley of Gone with the wind. She said goodbye to Korea
and came back some minutes later. She sang Vision of Love and Hero in
classy and sexy white dress. Vision of Love in Seoul was worse than
the live in STTR, but she did her best. and sang Hero with audience.
Her highnote was Great. and last of all she's gone with hitting note
of Butterfly(outro).
Maybe I was dreaming for 2 hours. and I'd like to thank Mariah for her
gift for Korean fans. Her voice didn't sound really excellent, but I won't
be able to forget this moment all my life!!!
Anyway I hope Mariah can be out of her deep sorrow as soon as possible.
