Whenever Mariah has a new single out, it is our duty as her fans to get on the phone and start calling and requesting to our local radio stations! You can flex your "fan muscles" by very politely letting your local stations know that you love Mariah's new single and want to hear more of it. Radio stations want you to tune in and listen, and if you'll do that more often because they're playing what you want to hear, they'll be very happy to listen to you!

Making sure that stations are playing Mariah is also very important because without radio play, Mariah's music will not be heard by the mass public. Radio play is perhaps the number one promotional tool and effects sales greatly. Radio play is also a huge contributer to Mariah's overall chart status. Mariah really appreciates you all so much, and requesting her on the radio is a great way of letting her know that you appreciate her too!

Please keep in mind these tips when requesting Mariah on the radio. It is important to follow some guidelines when requesting, since it's not effective if requests appear to be "manufactured" (for example, a station receives 150 e-mails from the same person):

-- First and foremost, if you request Mariah's new single on your local radio station, it should be because you personally would like to request the song.

-- Telephone request calls are more effective than e-mails. When phoning a radio station, only call stations you can hear in the city where you live.

-- Call your local radio stations once a day to request Mariah's new single. If you hear the song on the radio, it is nice to send one e-mail to the DJ thanking them for playing the song. Please do not e-mail station programmers or managers.

-- Some radio station websites have an e-mail address or online form specifically for requests. That is where you should send your e-mail. Again, it is best to only send one e-mail per day.

Please select your place of residence for a list of radio stations in your area that might be playing Mariah's music, or are at least playing her format. If you call the stations listed, you could significantly improve Mariah's overall sales and chart status. Please remember, it is not a good idea to call stations out of your radio range.

MTV's Total Request Live
The most effective way to get Mariah's latest video on the TRL countdown is to call 1-800-DIAL-MTV (1-800-342-5688) during the following hours:

4:25pm - 5:00pm Eastern Time
3:25pm - 4:00pm Central Time
2:25pm - 3:00pm Mountain Time
1:25pm - 2:00pm Pacific Time

You can vote up to three times a day per phone line. You may get a busy signal often, but keep hitting redial! Try to call within the first 15 minutes, as the phone lines will be less jammed. Call-in votes count more than online votes, but you can still vote as many times as you want on the TRL website.

You can vote for Mariah's videos on BET's 106 & Park by clicking here! If Mariah's video is not on the list, try calling 1-800-617-LIVE between 5:30 and 6:00pm Eastern Time on weekdays to request it. VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown
This weekly, two-hour show counts down the hottest twenty videos of the week. Whenever Mariah has a new music video out, you can get her onto VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown by posting your vote online in the Top 20 Video Countdown Message Board. You can also request Mariah's video at VH1 by sending an e-mail to videorequest@vh1mail.com.
